(More customer reviews)My husband experienced hammock envy on a recent camping trip in the Black Hills of SD. After some net surfing I found a great deal on Amazon.com for a Hammock Bliss. I figured I couldn't lose on a deal like that. In using it at home, I found it to be more comfortable than our rope style hammock. The amount of material is strong and generous. I can almost wrap myself up like a mummy to keep the flying nasties off of me. Recently, I tried it camping. Looking for the right trees was the hardest part. But, it worked well without the use of tree straps thanks to the strong cords. My only difficulty with HB was getting out of it. Chalk that up to maybe age and weight. However, I used my canoe paddle as a stretcher bar and was able to gracefully eject myself out of the Bliss. Basic three word summary, PORTable, COMFORTable and AFFORDable.

i used it just about everyday i was there, this thing is great. i wish the vacation wasn't over cuz now i have to wait for warmer weather now to relax in my hammmock again.

(More customer reviews)this hammock is amazing. it's so comfortable and durable. i've set it up both inside and out, and i LOVE it.
it doesn't look like it should hold up, but it does. also, the extra fabric makes a great covering if it's a little chilly. given the choice between a thermarest and a sleeping bag and an eno, i'd sleep in the eno. all my friends who have one love it as well.
you don't have to buy the straps that eno also sells if you or someone you know knows how to make some.
all in all, it's a wonderful product, great for the outdoor lover.

(More customer reviews)i love the hammock. one thing concerns me though, your initial description says "250"lb then the description underit says "200" and the one on the bag to the hammock says "180". i love the hammock though, easy and quick to set up, first time took about 4 minutes, now that i have snake skins takes under 2 minutes. like i said only concern is the different sayings for the weight. i definitely suggest using this product i will update review as soon as i go on first trip of the year

After using my cot twice, I sat down on the cot, and the center legs bent. We contacted Eureka, and they offered nothing. My husband improvised some metal supports to brace the bent part of the leg. The brace held perfectly, but the next time we camped the leg bent again above the brace. Neither of us weighs 300 lbs that this cot is rated for. I will never purchase another Eureka product.

(More customer reviews)i love this thing for the ability it gives me to hang just about anywhere. it's extremely packable and the colors are flashy without being ostentatious. i use mine with the admittedly overprices pro straps (had a gift card to use), but they sure have turned out to be so very convenient and useful. i'd probably even get them again just to avoid tying a few knots when i'm lazy. the hammock is strong and has held two non-obese sized adults with no issue. in fact, i want to go take a nap in it right now. be warned that although it is solid fabric (i.e. not one of those woven hammocks) it will not do a lot toward keeping you warm if a small wind picks up. it's great to nestle in with a sleeping back or blanket and pillow on colder evenings though. a+++ would buy again

(More customer reviews)I was dead set on getting an ENO hammock, until I read the great raving reviews of the lesser named brands here from Amazon.
I also found that once you start outfitting an ENO hammock with things like bug nets they get very pricey. So I found the Skeeter Beeter.
It was a little bit of a stab having not read any reviews on it, but the price was right and the quality seemed to be there.
The hammock is very comfortable, and made of really nice materials (parachute material for the hammock, and almost like a silk for the bug-net...no cheap-o stuff here).
My only complaints are (and I'm not really sure they're complaints, just things I wish I kn ew before buying), the size of this thing is pretty big for 1 person. 400# capacity doesn't give enough of a description, but I'm 6'1" at 185lbs and I get swallowed by this thing. I wish it was about 10% less wide.
The other thing was the bug-net...cool setup, but it does not come off...not possible to remove. There's a zipper which runs about 90% the length of 1 side, but cannot be peeled back and removed. Not a complaint per se, but I wish I knew these things before-hand

The big downside is that it isn't a mesh hammock. It's pretty warm to lay in when its hot out. Of course, not being mesh means this hammock is a lot more durable. It's a terrible trade off to make.

Spotlight Bivy by Black Diamond Review

Hammock Bivy Review

(More customer reviews)Received the Hammock Bivy by Ajillis yesterday and was impressed by the design and packaging.
I instantly took it out back and let it hang over night to test the waterproof feature.
the rains started at 4am and when it let up for a bit at 1pm I went out to investigate.
As I thought would happen, that outside pocket was full of water. But not discouraged,
I peeled back the top cover to look inside. There was a nice puddle of water inside the hammock.
You can find videos of this on you tube searching for Ajillis.
Obviously, Mine can not be considered rainproof/waterproof at this point and useless for its intended and described purpose.
After email exchanges with Ajillis and settlement, I am keeping mine and seeing if I can figure out the water problem, which could be condensation as well as rain.
Ajillis was fairly quick wth offering a refund and apologetic on the results I have had to date.
I actually like the design, like you would like the ugly dog in the litter. The one bow and bug net work fine.
My biggest worry is that instead of a leak, the water appears by condensation due to the waterproof material.
I hope it works out and will use a rainfly while testing it. Oops..still didn't get answer on weight limits..
I could just suggest others to wait and see if a new improved Hammock Bivy is in Ajillis's future.
Will update if I figure mine out..
Pros: nice packaging, 2.6 pounds, includes tent stakes, tieouts and all webbing. Nice concept.
Cons: leaks and pools water. Water inside hammock without rainfly used(but might be condensation too) and outside pocket fills with water (hmm water collector for survivalists?)
Looking for an updated version in woodland camo that does not leak/hold water and a filter attached to that water pocket.

I have no experience with the expedition but I would assume it works for most people. I opted for the safari as I like to stretch out and snuggle when the opportunity presents itself. This hammock is the condo in the land of hammock apartments. There is enough room for one person (5'10" 185lbs) to lay with arms stretched out and enough head room to hang a chandelier from if desired. I am pleased I went with the safari model as it provides me with the room to store stuff as well as not feel cramped. Once you put in a sleeping bag, pillow, and sleeping pad, its a slice of heaven! The asymmetrical design is ingenious and like sleeping on a bed of clouds!
