(More customer reviews)I ordered two of these lanterns for use during power outages. I opened the first one, inserted batteries and turned the unit on. It is bright and is best suited for placing higher up and letting the light diffuse downward. The one thing I noticed was that the switch seemed cheap and poorly made. In particular after rotating on and off a few times the light would flicker as I had to find the sweet spot for each of the settings on the lantern. At first, I thought it could have been a defective unit, however I took the second one out of the box and it did the exact same thing. This is not something I considered worthy of returning the items for. It worked in each of the settings, but just took a little wiggling of the switch to get it right and is something worth noting for potential buyers.

He can also keep his bed made with the tent on it. It is made of very light weight fabric, so it is not intended for rough play. It is not going to keep anyone from rolling out of bed because the sides do not attatch to the bed. One side has two flaps that can tie back for an easy tuck-in.

ABO Gear Instent Max Shelter Review

(More customer reviews)I searched the Internet far and wide for a beach shelter big enough for two people to lay down inside comfortably and be completely protected by the sun -- with very easy set-up and take-down. This one seemed to fit the bill perfectly, although I was concerned about the negative reviews here with respect to wind damage. When it arrived, my boyfriend and I opened it up at home as practice before hitting the beach (great advice from previous reviewers). We were very impressed with how quickly it really does pop up and come down, and how easy it is to get back in the carry bag.
Fast forward to its first day on the beach. We pop it up, we weigh down the pockets with big rocks from the beach, and we tie a knot on top (also great advice I got here). It was wonderful for about two hours -- until it BROKE! On the first day out! One of the curved plastic rods on top broke at one of the joints, and the whole thing collapsed because of it. I think one of the other negative reviews mentions that the plastic used in this tent has basically no structural integrity, and I certainly believe that to be true, as well. There was a sea breeze, but when is there not a breeze on the beach? And plenty of other tents in our vicinity made it through the entire day.
I was ready for battle when I contacted Amazon to get a refund. I had read here that other people had a horrible time getting their money back, but now I think those people may have purchased through ABO Gear directly. I'm SO glad I purchased through Amazon. No questions asked, no battles fought -- I just called for a return shipping label and then they informed me when they received the product, when the return was processed, and again when they had credited my account.
So, I'm disappointed that the tent turned out to be useless on an average day at the beach (here in the Northeast US, at least), but I'm so impressed with Amazon's customer service. After this experience, I'll be much more likely to purchase bigger ticket items through them in the future.

I had not heard much about the brand on Suisse Sport. So I set it up to check it out before camping. (a pleasant surprise)
I was comparing this tent to the Columbia Cougar Flats II and the Eureka Copper Canyon both are about 33% more money than this tent and similar in size and style. I liked the screen area better and saw the poles were pretty weak on the Eureka and even though the Cougar flats is bigger it has less usable room because it slopes more like a dome tent.
First impression, I opened the box and saw it has a zipper storage bag.
PROS:
The total weight is just under 30lbs, the frame is quality 19mm steel poles with larger fiberglass pole.
The shape of this tent has almost vertical walls which gives you maximum space.
87" high ceilings so it doesn't seem like you are in a cave I like all the sizes of this tent.
The big window on the screen side gives you a nice place to keep your gear at night or while you take a hike or dip in the lake.
I like to have some airflow in a tent and this one has 4 window and 7 vents, we never plan on camping in the rain, so that is another reason we picked this tent it has a 1000mm coated fly in a rainstorm it would surely keep you dry.
Sleeping specs: it shows 5, so really 3-4 + you could do 2 on the room side and 2 kids in the screened area and be really comfortable.
It came with 6 steel pegs and 7 plastic pegs they look decent, I usually use the spike style pegs which are easily ordered on Amazon, 10" Galvanized-Steel Tent Pegs - Set of 10 TIP: if you order them online they will save you from the local camp store pricing!
Final analysis: Color is good, dark on bottom to protect from dirt nice earth tones on the sides no crazy camp colors! Easy to set up with a quality storage bag.
I will modify this review if things change but at a savings of 33% over the other tents this was a great Fishgriller deal!

(More customer reviews)Bought the tent for a week long camping trip. Loved the combination of the price and size and couldn't resist. It worked out perfectly. Had the tent setup for a total of 8 days, stormed 2 of the days (heavy rain and winds) and not a leak or issue with the wind. The tent is pretty large inside, not sure if it would sleep 8 comfortably, but at least 4 people can easily sleep in this tent with all of their bags and such with room to spare. Has a rain fly which is perfect for the clear nights, also the zippered "windows" work perfectly for getting heat out during the day and allowing a breeze in. I'll be keeping this tent around for future trips.
