(More customer reviews)I bought this for a new tent that I purchased(from amazon of course) and am happy with how it went on. Rather than buying some of the small-volumed and overpriced specialty tent waterproofers out there, I decided to save some money(and end up with some left over) and tried this. It has strong, volatile-smelling odors, so don't try using this indoors. You don't want to inhale any of this nasty stuff...From my understanding of how most water-proofers work, If the waterproofing molecules come in contact with your lung tissue, they will actually expand and prevent O2-CO2 diffusion and you could suffocate. I wore nitrile gloves as I sprayed it on the tent and then rubbed it into the material. After a day it was completely dry and there were no detectable odors. I did some water splash-spray tests and the water was beading off beautifully. I'm hopping the PTFE will help reduce dirt staining as well. - We'll see.
