The tent seems to be made in over all good quality and I like its look and size. It is large but not over whelming in size like a lot of other tents over 10'. I prefer a dome style tent over a cabin one because it supports itself where as cabin style tents require more ground space due to all the guy lines required to stabilize it. All this tent needs is stakes to keep it from blowing away and taught the rainfly. The base will definitely require a thick tarp underneath as it is made of the same oxford nylon as the lower sides. Most seams are taped in the stitching but one thing I noticed that has me concerned is the large amount of seams on the tent. Although they are taped and water sealed, there are three seams running through the length of the floor that have me worried. I know I payed a lot less but for a tent that originally retailed for over $350 you would think my concerns should be less... The seams around the bottom edges do not have tape on them and will need to be filled before I take the tent out "you can see the pin holes when the tent is stretched upon set up". I have no idea why that portion would have been skipped during manufacturing! They spent a lot of time on the rest of the water proofing only to leave the floor edges out? I suppose you should always seal your tent regardless! Only time will tell If it lasts but I am hopeful. I will update after a couple trips.

The two-room ALPS Mountaineering Osage free-standing tent is a great choice for three-season camping, featuring a multi-pass urethane coating applied to the fly and floor for maximum weather protection and factory sealed seams for even more protection. The roof is made from a breathable 1.9-ounce nylon taffeta with three mesh vents for excellent ventilation. It also includes two large mesh windows (one in the back and one in the front door) and side windows for venting and visibility. A hooded fly at the front and rear permit venting of the windows in any weather.
The two shock-corded fiberglass poles attach to the tent with clips and at the corners with ring-and-pin connectors for fast and easy set-up. The polyester taffeta fly attaches to the tent with stress-absorbing shock-cords and S-hooks, and guy-out loops on the fly add support in wind and rain. Other features include mesh storage pockets, flashlight loop and gear loft, and a front door that hinges to the side for easy entry and exit. It comes with carry bags, 8-inch steel stakes, and guy ropes.
