THE OLDER AUTO PILOT SYSTEMS HAVE A HIGH FAILURE RATE AFTER A FEW YEARS, SO ONLY TIME WILL TELL ON THE NEW SYSTEM. I'M VERY SATISFIED WITH THE FEATURES & OPERATION OF THIS MOTOR, PRESENTLY. I CHOSE TO STAY WITH MINN KOTA BECAUSE THE FEATURES ARE SUFFICIENTLY ADVANCED OVER ANY OTHER TROLLING MOTOR AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME

I chose it because it has a better thrust level than comparably priced units by MinnKota. Maybe it's because a lot of people wouldn't buy the camo motor, but it's great. I also hunt so it will be used that way as well.
