Camp Chef Denali 3 Burner Camping Stove Review

Camp Chef Denali 3 Burner Camping Stove

Camp Chef Mountain Series 3 Burner Camping Stove:
I have tried all of the different camping stoves, from cheap singles to the old coleman green box stoves.
The same thing always comes up, MORE heat needed and more stability.
This stove has both, the burners are a nice 12,000 BTU so you can heat up a family size portion.
the flame is a nice ball of heat with a light blue tint. (white flame will black your pans!)
First thing I noticed is the Side holders are bent out a little bit, this will make it easier to put a larger pot and keep your wind protection.
The knobs are very easy to adjust and of most important "Matchless" lighting is always much easier.
More Observations: Box is nice quality so I will likely store my stove in the box, it also has a couple of recipes on the side.
I checked into an adapter for using this with a bulk tank, YES it is possible it just hooks onto the end where you would put on a disposable bottle. On this stove, the hinges are stainless steel some of the other stoves are just plated metal. They should never rust.
Great quality for the money., the other model with the bigger side griddle
Camp Chef Mountain Series Grill and Portable Camp Stove at the time of this writing was $20 more.
In this video Steve is showing some of the features and benefits. I will try and take a picture of the box.
This is also a great stove for power outages, it is so simple.

Coleman PerfectFlow Insta Start Grill Stove Review

Coleman PerfectFlow Insta Start Grill Stove
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought this stove/grill on sale at a Target store to replace my old liquid fuel stove in time for camping season this past summer. It came with the instastart ignition although it doesn't say so in the Amazon product description. The product picture shows the little red igniter button near the center of the stove front. The grill is an excellent design option allowing for grilling steaks, hot dogs, burgers, sausages, etc., which I do frequently now. The Instastart ignition has worked flawlessly so far.
Propane bottles win hands-down over liquid fuel tanks (no more having to pump the darn thing all the time). The bottles are cheap and with normal use, last through a three-meal day, no problem! I usually get a meal or two the next day, since lunches are typically cold... sandwiches, salads, etc. Most of the time we are away from the camp site at lunch time anyway. I always bring a 'bottle-a-day plus one' to be on the safe side and usually bring a bottle or two home for the next trip (depending on the length of the outting and how much cooking). I can usually find the bottles on sale through the year for just over a buck in the 'big' department stores and load up on them. As far as I can tell, the claim of an even, continuous gas flow is true (high or low)... just like using a gas range at home. Clean up is easy and the grease trap underneath the unit catches all that fat dripping from those New York strip steaks. Two or three strip steaks will fill that grease trap reservoir to the brim, so don't forget to empty it before grilling again. The long grill burner also heats that 10 or 12 inch fry pan across the bottom quickly for bacon, eggs, etc. The grill itself will take some scrubbing when you get home if you have been grilling steaks.
If you're looking to replace that old liquid fuel stove, do yourself a favor and get this unit, you won't be sorry.

Long the authority on propane camping stoves, Coleman steps up to the plate again with its PerfectFlow InstaStart grill stove. Coleman's PerfectFlow appliances regulate the pressure of the propane to provide a consistent cooking performance without flaring or flickering. This steady fuel stream holds true even in cold weather, high altitudes, or when the fuel is low. The stove is equipped with two 10,000 BTU burners, one with a nickel-chrome stove grate and one with a removable die-cast aluminum grill grate. As a result, you can grill burgers and heat chili at the same time. The fuel is long lasting as well: with just a single 16.4-ounce propane fuel cylinder (sold separately), you can use both burners on high for 1.1 hours--more than enough time to prepare a weekend's worth of meals. And lighting the stove couldn't be easier thanks to Coleman's matchless InstaStart technology, which sparks the burners with the touch of a button.
Constructed of durable enamel-painted steel, the PerfectFlow grill stove also includes Coleman's Windblock side panels, which not only shield the burners for maximum heat, but also double as side trays when folded down. Other features include 160 inches of cooking space, a grease management system with a removable, dishwasher-safe tray, and a limited five-year warranty.
About Coleman More than 100 years ago, a young man with an entrepreneurial spirit and a better idea began manufacturing lanterns in Wichita, Kansas. His name was W.C. Coleman, and the company he founded would change life in America. A man plagued with such poor vision he sometimes had to ask classmates to read aloud to him, Coleman saw a brilliant light in 1900 in a drugstore window that stopped him in his tracks. He inquired about the light inside and discovered he was able to read even the small print on a medicine bottle by the illumination. The lamps had mantles, not wicks, and were fueled by gasoline under pressure instead of coal oil. Soon afterward, Coleman started a lighting service that offered a "no light, no pay" clause--a big step forward for merchants who were burned by inferior products that rarely worked--and drew substantial interest from businesses that wanted to keep their lights on after dark.
In the ensuing years, Coleman expanded its product line well beyond lanterns. The company's current catalog is thick with products that make spending time outdoors a pleasure. There are coolers that keep food and drinks cold for days on end, comfortable airbeds that won't deflate during the night, a complete line of LED lights that last for years, powerful portable grills that cook with an authentic open-grill flame, and much, much more. Coleman has truly fashioned much of our outdoor camping experience, and expects to do so for generations to come.

Coleman High Stand for use with Coleman 2 or 3 Burner Stoves or a Chest Cooler Review

Coleman High Stand for use with Coleman 2 or 3 Burner Stoves or a Chest Cooler

This telescopes out and two long hinges flip over and lock in place. It weighs next to nothing. It's quite useful, it's no fun to cook on the ground. I never had any issue with this stand not supporting my camp stove. There's no way it will collapse. Just use common sense and it will do what it's designed to do.

Coleman PerfectFlow InstaStart 2-Burner Stove Review

Coleman PerfectFlow InstaStart 2-Burner Stove
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Coleman got it right this time. The carrying handle is substantial and stays cool. The handle also facilitates pressing the lighter button without bracing against hot metal. The curved, sealed design eliminates sharp edges, and makes cleaning easier. Spacious burners allowed us to use our 9" fry pan on a single burner, with the side wind shields up, and still have room around it (we could have used a slightly larger fry pan).
Water boiled reasonably quickly.
The piezoelectric igniter worked well. Just keep clicking it until you either see the flame (hard to do in bright light) or hear the flame.
This is our first experience with propane. PROs: Hot and clean. Unlike gasoline stoves, the propane will not dirty the bottom of your pots and pans. And you don't have the smell and mess of gasoline stoves. CONs: Invisible flame in bright light. I cannot tell if the flame is overshooting or undershooting the bottom of the pot or pan. The flame can actually be too hot. Boil water with a full flame (I think that the right burner is a little hotter than the left). But fry pancakes on the lowest flame possible, and keep an eye on it. A higher flame can be so hot that it can discolor the metal, or reduce oil to a baked-on gum.
This stove made our recent camping trip a real pleasure.

Cook up a full meal without running out of cooking space with the Coleman EvenTemp InstaStart two-burner stove. Designed to accommodate a pair of pots or skillets at once, the stove offers two fully adjustable, 10,000 BTU burners, each equipped with Coleman's matchless InstaStart pushbutton ignition. The result is an easy-to-use stove that delivers an elite cooking performance time and again. Outdoor chefs will also appreciate the stove's PerfectFlow propane pressure control, which produces a steady fuel stream even in cold weather, high altitudes, or when fuel is low. The stove's PerfectHeat technology, meanwhile, employs recessed cook tops and lowered burner positions to generate efficient cooking heat. And thanks to the WindBlock side panels, the burners can stave off the elements while you cook. (The side panels also fold down to form side shelves for condiments or utensils.) So give yourself the gift of convenience and serious cooking power with this durable camping stove from Coleman.
About Coleman The Coleman Company has been creating and innovating products for recreational outdoor use since W.C. Coleman started selling gasoline-powered lanterns in 1900. Inventor of the hugely popular fold-up camp stove, Coleman developed a plastic liner for his galvanized steel coolers in 1957--the birth of the modern cooler--and the company has been improving their utility and design ever since. The array of products that bear the Coleman name now includes just about everything you might need to work or play outdoors, from tents and sleeping bags to boats, backpacks, and furniture.

MSR Pocket Rocket Stove Review

MSR Pocket Rocket Stove
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
MSR's Pocket Rocket is a great little cooker. Best for going light and fast. Perfect as a shared stove among two people, and even better for simple boiling or melting snow for drinking water. I would suggest this stove for use with a maximum pot capacity of two liters, more than this and it becomes a little unstable.
If your menu is simple and you live on instant meals that require only boiling water this is the stove for you. Because this is a stove designed for the minimalist, it is tiny and has a very concentrated hot spot, so if you are a backcountry gourmet and want to cook pancakes and eggs you might be better off with a stove that has a larger flame spread. Again, great for boiling water and melting snow, but not for actual cooking.

Pack light, but carry a powerful stove with the palm-sized MSR 11792 Pocket Rocket, which weighs just 3 ounces and measures 4 by 4 by 2 inches. It offers fast and simple lighting, with no need for priming, pressurizing or maintenance, and it will boil a liter of water in under 3.5 minutes. The glove-friendly controls allow precise flame adjustment and stability, while the micro-burner, tri-sectional Windclip Windshield clip protects flame in light wind gusts. It uses clean burning MSR IsoPro premium fuel.
Stove Tips:
MSR recommends 4 oz. (114ml) of liquid fuel per person per day for cooking or 8 oz. (237ml) of liquid fuel per person per day for melting snow and cooking.
At high altitude, MSR stoves may burn "rich," which hinders vaporization. Reducing fuel bottle pressure and opening up the windscreen can offset this.
MSR's stoves burn best when the fuel bottle is pressurized to 15-25 psi (1034-1724 mb). That's equivalent to about 20 pump strokes for a full 22-ounce MSR fuel bottle. As the fuel burns, the air space in bottle grows larger, and pressure decreases. You'll have to pump more to maintain the same pressure.
