I bought this as a liner for my other sleeping bags. I like the half-mummy style because it fits nicely into a regular mummy bag without adding a second hood to flop around. Although, as a nice bonus, if you're short enough (like me, 5'6") you can pull it over your head and cinch it up more or less like an actual mummy bag.
As a liner I rate it so-so; I have several liners and many do as good a job for less weight. It does pack fairly small, and the foot vent is nice when it's hot. As a stand-alone I tried this out on a night when it got down to 60 degrees and it felt fine at that temp (which is a definite bonus since most sleeping bags are overrated by 10-20 degrees).
If you're into ultra-light backpacking I would not be too quick to recommend this. Slumberjack is, in my opinion, hit and miss with respect to features, and odds are if you're anywhere near serious about being a minimalist you've probably got the bones for a better brand bag.
Even if you are on a budget there are other lightweight bags that are similarly priced and which I believe are better. ALPS Mountaineering makes a liner/cover that's actually a full mummy style called the Razor and I would suggest looking at that or another light weight bag first.
Oh, one last thing, I bought this for $40, and as I write this Amazon has the price at $50. I don't believe I'd pay $50 for this bag.
