(More customer reviews)I bought this looking for a pack to travel with on a 10 week south America trip to carry all my stuff. 40 liters is the approximate volume that you can fit thru most airlines as a carry on item.
so this sounded like a good idea.
The bag is approx 22 liters in my estimate. barely half the advertised size. suitable for a school book bag
I ended up with the osprey porter 46, a great bag, will use the osprey for more future trips.
