I bought this bivy in January and I used it for one night in the Sipsey Wilderness in Alabama. It does its job great as a ultralite shelter. It has a left half length zipper so it helps if you have a left zipp bag. I am 6'1" and 195 Lbs and it fit me fine. I would not try much bigger then that though. I don't buy into the whole "it adds value to a sleeping bag" though. The night got down to the 30's and I had a bag rated at 40 degrees and it was cold but that is not the fault of the bivy. It did not rain so I cant tell you how well it did there but I did do a water hose test at the house when I got it and it did fine then so if safe to say its water proof. I don't think I would use a bivy if I expected lots of rain though unless I had a natural shelter or a tarp to sleep under; getting in and out would be an adventure and all your stuff would get wet. I did wake up with condensation on my sleeping bag and on my sleeping pad but I think that is to be expected. However the inside of my bag was dry. I must say that I love the mesh part at the face, lots of fresh air. When the night got colder I closed the flap over the mesh using only the velcro and not the zipper. So i still had lots of fresh air and a little added warmth. Overall I must say that I loved it very much and would advise anyone wanting to try Bivy Camping to get this one it has great fetures for the price and works well. I love it and will use it as long as it holds up.
