(More customer reviews)I bought the MH Twin Arch 2 on a closeout that included the footprint. Great score! The tent is listed as a 2 person but 2 people would be pretty 'cozy'.
Pros:
Freestanding. Having a freestanding tent helps a lot when you can't get solid anchor points all the way around.
Setup. Setting the tent is up pretty easy. It's also possible to use just the footprint and fly for a lightweight shelter.
Tall. A lot of smaller 1-2 person tents are usually designed in a manner where you're lucky if you can sit all the way up at the mouth and then they taper down sharply to the foot. This tent is rather tall compared to most 1-2 person tents. I'm 5'7" and can situp at the foot and can stand hunched at the mouth.
Waterproof. The specs say that the tent is 100% waterproof. I have yet to test that claim, however. But the construction seems solid, sealed seams, flapped zipper, and the rainfly is designed as to not dump water into the tent when you unzip it.
Cons:
Weight. Because the thing is a bit bigger than most 1-2 person tents, it also means extra weight and pack space. I'll take that trade-off, though.
Setup. Although the tent is very easy/simple to setup, it does seem to take a bit more time than previous 1-2 person tents I've had in the past.
Lack of a pocket. Almost every tent I've ever owned has had at least 1 inner storage pocket. There are none with this tent. Not a deal breaker, but something I was surprised to see missing.
Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase especially at the price I was able to get. I plan on really putting the tent through the gauntlet when I take it on a small bike tour this Fall.
