I bought the Wildcat Mountain after much research. I wanted a tent that had plenty of space for my family (my wife and I are over six feet and we have large children), would fit on a tent pad at most campgrounds, and was going to last more than a couple of seasons. I liked the fact that the Wildcat had 180 square feet but was no longer than 15 feet (15x12). I really liked the separate combo room, which we like even more now that we are using it. It's great to set up as a living room, and is also great for hanging out in if the bugs are bad while still enjoying the views. It also only takes about 10-15 minutes to set up once you've done it a couple of times. And it actually fits back in the bag it comes with, with room to spare for a repair kit, spare poles, and a mallet. My only complaint, and this isn't enough to warrant losing a star, is the divider between the combo room and the sleeping area. It is not removable without permanently altering the tent. You can unzip two panels which opens it up but there are two sides with about 15 inches or so of fabric in the way along with the center column where the panels roll up. One person I read actually cut this out and made it reattachable with velcro, which isn't a bad idea. Like I said not a major gripe but slightly inconvenient. It has lots of big windows and almost the entire roof is mesh, so it ventilates well. You'll have to cover the roof with a tarp or blankets if you want to heat or cool the tent. The fly covers the whole roof and comes down the sides about one foot, but doesn't seem to restrict ventilation like some tents. Both entrances are in the combo room, so you don't track into the sleeping area, which is nice. Overall this is a great tent that will provide many years of service if you use common sense. Don't be like the other reviewer and try to camp in a hurricane. I'm from the Gulf Coast and have seen many tents floating in one of the bays because folks were trying to camp in tons of wind. It can be done, but these cabin style tents really don't handle a great deal of wind well. GigaTent rates it at 35MPH, which means it'll probably take occasional gusts to 45 or so, IF it is properly secured. If you expect wind don't just stake the tent out. Guy out the fly as well. If you are in sand use sand stakes or a deadman anchor. This helps stabilize the tent in the wind and should keep it from becoming a kite. Hope this helps. Good luck and happy camping.

This large free standing 3 room tent with is almost vertical walls has an amazing amount of living space inside. The front Combo Room has 2 large closeable windows and can be used as a floored screen room or sleeping space. The Combo Room is separated from the rear room by a sewn in divider with 2 large D shaped doors. The rear room can be divided into 2 7'6"x 6' rooms using a removable curtain. There are 2 cantilevered windows in the side walls of the rear room as well as 2 large windows in the rear wall. The rain fly has 4 large clear panels to allow light into the tent and keep things cheery. The large windows combined with the mesh roof prevent condensation build-up and a bathtub floor means no ground level seams to leak. A zippered duffle bag style storage bag, pole bag, stake bag, tent stakes, extra guy lines are all included.
