(More customer reviews)We've had one of those older style beach tents (where you have to put the poles together and feed them through the pockets) for quite awhile now, and it was starting to fall apart. I decided to give this a try to replace the old one, and it is so much easier. There is no assembly required at all. Just open it up, fold it out and make the connection on top. I tried doing it myself, and it does take quite a bit of force to get the 2 pieces to connect, so I couldn't do it at first. Instead, I flipped the hole thing upside down and was able to push down on it to make the connection, quite easily. One connection is all it takes. It seems sturdier than my old tent, and I like that it has 3 windows for good air circulation (my old one only had 2). It helps to let air through on windy days too, to avoid it blowing away. Also LOVE the sand/weight pockets to keep it down. Such a great idea. I used to have to search for big rocks to hold down the corners of my old one (the stakes never stayed firm enough in the sand, and the loops eventually broke anyway), and quickly fill it with our stuff to keep it in place. No more with this one. Also love the zip up front. My old one didn't have that either, and while we were able to do quick changes with the kids, with some fancy maneuvering, this now gives you full privacy. It's a great size (tall and wide), and I highly recommend this model over the other versions.
