(More customer reviews)Each of my daughters, ages 3 and 5, received these as Christmas gifts. They were very excited. We have the princess design and the Tinkerbell one. Great concept since kids love to make "forts" and the graphics on both were adorable. BUT...there were too many problems. First of all, we thought it would be easy to put together being that it uses shock-cord poles which we are very familiar with since we use them for camping. No such luck! Trying to get the poles into the slots on the tent was very difficult. You get one end in, and the other pops out. Once it is finally together and tied to the frame be very careful, the slightest bump will disconnect one of the poles. Second, and what I feel is the biggest problem...the tension line that go across from one front corner to the other front corner to keep it from sagging snapped with in the first hour of the girls using them, and they by no means were being rough when they were using them. It is very easy to snap the string since by poor design in my opinion, it goes right across the front where you enter to get into the tent thus snagging it on the way in. On the first tent we fixed it by using a long shoe string we had in the house and tying it between the two broken pieces. The 2nd one is being held up in the front by looping it around the bed post. The last problem, is the quality of the shock-corded poles. They are made from THIN plastic and snap very easily. We had one broke on one tent the first night it was up and two snapped on the second tent the next day. Again, the girls were not playing rough when this happened. They are fixed with duct tape but still bend enough so the tent isn't as erect as it should be.
To summarize, it is very cute and fun BUT the company needs to work on the quality of materials to make the poles stronger and come up with a new design for the tension string going across the front. I gave it three stars because my daughters can still enjoy the tent, but I would not recommend others to buy this product. I expect more quality from a Disney product.
